Marc steps out with new guy

A Parade of the city’s hottest and most fashionable men stormed the Olympic-themed amfAR Inspiration gala Thursday night at the New York Public Library — including new couple Marc Jacob s and his Brazilian boyfriend Harry Louis. Jacobs and Louis have gone public with their relationship after first being linked in December. They also attended Monday’s CFDA Awards together. Though Jacobs wore a tux to both the CFDAs and the amfAR gala, Seth Meyers poked fun at Jacobs’ Met Ball attire while hosting the CFDAs — he walked onstage in the breezy Commes des Garçons black lace dress and white underwear Jacobs wore to the Met gala in May. On Thursday, amfAR chairman Kenneth Cole was overheard asking Jacobs what he thought of Meyers’ joke. “It was amazing. It was so funny. It was the high point of the evening,” Jacobs responded. At the gala, Jacobs’ business partner Robert Duffy, the president of Marc Jacobs International, was honored along with Fergie by amfAR for their AIDS-awareness-related efforts. Duffy was introduced by Hilary Swank, who read her speech off her iPhone. Earlier, a cavalcade of chiseled models, most in tiny Speedos, walked in an athletic-themed runway show before the dinner, including retired rugby star Ben Cohen and Olympic hero Greg Louganis. The 52-year-old former diver told us that walking in the show was more terrifying than swinging on a trapeze, which he’s taken up recently: “My comfort zone is on the trapeze. Away from people. It’s sort of like diving.” The beefy Cohen, who’s married to Abby Blayney and has twin children, had the mostly gay male crowd at full attention during his post-dinner speech. Other attendees included Simon Doonan, Lorenzo Martone, Francisco Costa , Italo Zucchelli, amfAR founding chair Dr. Mathilde Krim and event producer Josh Wood. - NY Post
