Deron Taylor - Extremely Dangerous

Pittsburgh police are seeking the public's help in apprehending a man believed to have shot three people since mid-April. Police identified the suspect as Deron Taylor, 27, of McKees Rocks and today called him "extremely dangerous" in a news release. Mr. Taylor is wanted in connection with shootings in the Crafton Heights section of the city. Police said he has threatened others and has caused residents of an apartment complex at Crucible and Woodlow streets, where he has been spending time, to live in fear. The first incident occurred April 19 at 1:28 a.m. when a man was shot and robbed in the 1500 block of Crucible Street, police said. Mr. Taylor then kicked in a door and shot a man in the chest on May 23, the news release said. He then tried to shoot a 15-year-old in the house and injured a woman, according to police. No further details on the incidents were available today. Police would not identify the victims. Police said there are outstanding warrants for Mr. Taylor's arrest from multiple agencies on a variety of charges, including assault and escape. Police caution the public not to try to apprehend Mr. Taylor but to call 911. Anyone with information can contact detectives at the city's Zone 6 station in the West End at (412) 937-3051. Callers may remain anonymous. - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
